Flower Shed is my ode to the wild, natural beauty of plants and flowers that are deeply rooted in my childhood memories of growing up in the Redwood forest of Northern California.
Flower Shed is the culmination of a life with plants and flowers. It comes from working the soil with my mom, weeks and months watching buds become flowers highlighted with our selection of annuals that added color and variation. And now, these traditions continue with my daughter Parker, who with her present eye notices all the details in each arrangement - the length of the stems, the smells of each plant and the unique tactile quality of each bloom.
My arrangements evoke memories of perfect moments while highlighting the beauty of transformation and the resilience of nature. I source locally from small sustainable farms as much as possible, supplementing with my own flower garden and foraged findings from nature walks with my family. Flower Shed is a place where I create. On any given day, you will find me there with my children Parker and Levi, our dogs, my husband and maybe a chicken or two.
It is important to me to support the small, local farms of the PNW. The hardworking farmers put their heart and soul into every stem they grow and cut.
They are the true creators!
